Hello beautiful fools, April journal prompts are here
Feel it all, then free fall into a leap of faith.
March took us on one hell of a ride, huh? I can’t think of one person who made it through the eclipse unscathed.
I hope you’re tending to the cuts and bruises with gentle, nurturing care.
This year continues to be all about letting go and shedding what no longer serves us, and for most humans, that is shaking up the way we show up relationally.
Setting boundaries with family, walking away from unhealthy partnerships, becoming aware of the ways we abandon ourselves, being honest instead of going with the flow in friendship, over-extending ourselves, saying yes when we want to say no— is any (or all) of this feeling relatable?
I can tell you that all of these challenges are for your greater good, for your growth, for your future self, but I know that doesn’t make the reality of moving through these things feel any less painful.
So, I’m here to remind you to show yourself grace and compassion for whatever is coming up. I encourage you to deeply honor the profound and uncomfortable feelings that have arisen, be it grief, sadness, disappointment, or frustration. It’s all meant to be felt, and it’s all meant to teach you.
As we let go of turbulent March, let’s delicately walk into what’s ahead: April, sweet April.
This month holds so many of my favorite things within its 30 days. Earth Day (my favorite holiday), the wildflower bloom in California, the Spring equinox and astrological New Year, Easter (a holiday that has gifted me with many joyful childhood memories), and my birthday.
Being born on April Fool’s Day sometimes feels like the craziest cosmic joke. Really? Of all the days to be born, I showed up on a day of pranks, silliness, and hilarity. I’ve had no choice in my life than to wear the crown that was placed upon me and claim my foolish ways.
Fool for love
Fool who rushes in
[Running] the fools errands
Foolish in my expectations…
and even more foolish in my taste for adventure.
Which brings me to the Fool tarot card. In recent years, this has become my favorite card in the deck, and while I would never dare to claim to be an expert in this art, I have learned a ton from the teaching of my sweet friend and tarot guide, Abigail. She does the most magical job of explaining how to read and understand each card, and through her wisdom, I’ve come to understand the Fool card as an ‘opportunity to recognize… am I being pulled toward the tug of something greater?’
So, if you’re reading this and you’ve felt that tug in your life too, I hope you use this month to explore it alongside me.
Journal prompts— share your responses below
What if it’s not about knowing what comes next but knowing that you can handle whatever comes next? (What are you afraid you can’t handle?)
Do you hear a whisper asking you to step towards something greater? What is it saying? (You deserve more, your voice matters, you’re going to change people’s lives...)
Do you need to take a leap of faith or do you need to take the pressure off and step back from the edge?
What support do you need to help you move through fear of the unknown? (E.G, emotional, esteem, informational etc)
If you felt ready to go after what you truly desire, what would be different about you? (Hint: you’ll never really feel ready.)
Please, my friend, don’t foolish forget how rare all of this is,
♡ Kel
